Making C.H.O.I.C.E.S. : At Risk Youth Camp

Camp participants engage in a series of workshops and sessions throughout the camp that focus on making positive choices in the areas of education, relationships, in the home, and in life. Participants go on field trips to local colleges and universities, funeral homes, and youth detention centers to see the real impact of making positive and negative choices.

Objectives:

To increase graduation rates
To decrease high school drop out rates
To increase college enrollment among minorities
To decrease incarceration rates among adolescents and young adults
To develop decision making skills
To decrease criminal activities among adolescents and young adults
To decrease teenage pregnancy
To decrease rates of STDs among adolescents an young adults
To develop job skills
To promote character building
